Ron Brown Scholarship
The Ron Brown Scholarship awards $10,000 each year for 4 years (a total of $40,000) to the most talented and economically challenged African American students. Hertz Fellowship
The Hertz Fellowship is a five-year scholarship worth $250,000 for graduate students pursuing a PhD in the applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics, or engineering. You can apply for this scholarship as a college senior or as a first-year graduate student. To apply, you'll need an essay and recommendation letters.
Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Program
The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Program offers up to $30,000 to graduating high school seniors with leadership potential and a demonstrated dedication to community service. For this scholarship, you must have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the Math and Critical Reading sections, or a composite ACT score of 21. You’ll also need to show financial need and attend a 4-year college.
NHS Scholarship
The National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship provides 600 high school seniors with scholarships ranging from $3,200 up to $25,000! You’ll have to be an active National Honor Society (NHS) members in good standing, and will need to submit an essay and recommendation letters to apply.
Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship
The Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship provides $10,000 to the student who comes up with the best image for the front of a greeting card. Any student, 14 years of age or older, is eligible to apply. To apply, you need to submit an original photo, artwork or computer graphics.
QuestBridge College Match
The QuestBridge College Match provides a full four-year scholarship, worth over $200,000! Academically outstanding high school seniors from households earning less than $65,000 per year for a typical family of four are eligible to apply. Your first step is to submit a free, online National College Match application, two letters of recommendation, two essays and any available standardized test score reports are required to apply.
Golden Door Scholars (Golden Door Scholarship)
Golden Door Scholars provides over 300 large scholarships to high performing students with DACA, TPS, or undocumented students. Strong preference will be given to applicants who have high financial need and are interested in pursuing software engineering, nursing, data analytics, business analytics, and digital marketing. Students often attend select Partner Schools, but it is not required. To apply, you’ll need to submit an essay, information about leadership and extracurricular activities, and transcripts.
Dell Scholars Program
The Dell Scholars Program provides 500 students with a $20,000 scholarship, textbooks, and a laptop! To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have participated in a college readiness program in grades 11-12. You also need to be eligible for the Pell Grant, have a 2.4 GPA, and be studying full-time at a four-year school. To apply, you’ll first need to complete an online aid report. Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship provides $40,000 scholarships, $10,000 each year, plus a paid internship to high school seniors planning to study Computer Science. To qualify, you must have taken AP Computer Science (either a class or the test) and plan to major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or another computer-related field of study.
Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship
The Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship provides 200 STEM students with $10,000 scholarships! Students in any of the following majors are eligible: Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics. You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, attend a 4-year college, and demonstrate financial need. Winners are selected on academic performance, leadership in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and education goals, personal circumstances, and a recommendation.
Barry Goldwater Scholarship
The Goldwater Scholarship Program provides a renewable $7,500 scholarship for students pursuing a research career in a natural science, mathematics or engineering! To qualify, you’ll need to be a college sophomore or junior and have a 3.0 GPA. To apply, you’ll need to submit an online application and interest statement.
We the Students Essay Contest
The We the Students Essay Contest provides 16 scholarships of up to $7,500 to the students with the best essays on our society and values. They contest is open to any high school student ages 14-19. To apply, you just need to submit your essay — ask an advisor for help coming up with an essay idea!
