Mississippi Nurses FoundationOverview
The $5,000 Mississippi Car Tag Stipend Program is offered to Mississippi Residents with a Mississippi RN license. To qualify, you must have a nursing license plate on personal vehicle and be enrolled at an accredited Nursing Masters or Doctoral Program in Mississippi with a minimum GPA of 3.0. To apply, you must submit three letters of reference and an essay. For students that have not begun the graduate program, this applies to their undergraduate SON program - For students currently enrolled in graduate nursing school, this applies to their graduate nursing program.

Letters of recommendation typically come from teachers, counselors, coaches, leaders in groups you're a part of—basically any person who knows you well and is NOT a family member.
To prioritize your scholarship applications, think about which scholarships you have the best chance of getting (the most specific ones, with more than one winner), the ones due the soonest, and the ones that are awarding the most money.
