Overview

The Inland Empire Community Foundation awards scholarships ranging from $1,000 to more than $5,000 to students in San Bernardino or Riverside County. Some scholarships are based on merit, financial need, or extracurricular activities. There’s one application for all 30 of their scholarships, which asks for transcripts, an essay, and a letter of recommendation. Local students have a very high chance of winning, so apply today!

Who should I ask for a letter of recommendation?

Letters of recommendation typically come from teachers, counselors, coaches, leaders in groups you're a part of—basically any person who knows you well and is NOT a family member.

To prioritize your scholarship applications, think about which scholarships you have the best chance of getting (the most specific ones, with more than one winner), the ones due the soonest, and the ones that are awarding the most money.

How do I submit a transcript for a scholarship application?

To have a copy of your official transcript submitted for a scholarship application, you'll need to contact the registrar's office and ask that they send your transcript to the address you provide. Tip: Make sure to do this far in advance!

For a college transcript, you can also contact the registrar's office, or, you can submit a request through your college portal. FYI: Colleges often charge a fee for this.
