Overview
The Korean War Veteran Descendant - Southern Regional Chapter Scholarship offers $500 to $5,000 to descendants of American veterans who served during the Korean War. To qualify, you must be of Korean heritage (i.e., have a Korean parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, or be adopted from Korea). You must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be enrolled at a school in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. To apply, you need an essay and a recommendation.

Financial need is determined by the information you enter into your FAFSA. It's the difference between how much it's going to cost you to go to college, your 'cost of attendance (COA)', minus how much of this cost can you / your family cover, your 'Expected Family Contribution (EFC)'. If your EFC is lower than your COA, you have financial need! If you're not sure about your EFC or COA, reach out to a Mos advisor for help!
