Overview

The Diversity in Esthetics Scholarship provides $5,000 to help new or currently enrolled students in an esthetics program that leads to licensure. To qualify, you must be either an ethnic minority (including but not limited to: Black or African American; Hispanic or Latino; Native American; Pacific Islander; or Asian) or a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or a person with a medically documented disability. You must also be at least eighteen years old. To apply, you should submit a video. If that sounds like a fit for you, apply!

How should I prioritize which scholarships to apply to?

To prioritize your scholarship applications, think about which scholarships you have the best chance of getting (the most specific ones, with more than one winner), the ones due the soonest, and the ones that are awarding the most money.

What if I don't hear back from a scholarship?

If you haven't heard back within a few weeks, reach out to the scholarship organization! Some scholarship organizations email all the applicants to let them know if they were selected or not, while others only contact the winners—it usually depends on the number of applicants. It never hurts to follow up.

How do I increase my chances of getting a scholarship?
