This scholarship is offered to residents of the Oxford, Lafayette, Marshall or Yalobusha County who are planning to major in Education or STEM/STEAM. To qualify, you must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. You'll need an essay and two recommendation letters for the application.

It's basically a summary of why you're great and deserve the scholarship or funding you're applying for! Typically, students ask teachers, mentors, coaches, or employers (never family or friends). FYI: You have to ask someone to write a letter of rec for you.
